The Omora series dinnerware is made from stoneware with a reactive glaze. The completely hand-applied glaze makes each piece a unique item that adorns any table. In this process, various glazes and metal oxides are applied: after an initial firing at low temperature, the ceramists apply metal oxides to the still porous material depending on the desired final result. A second glaze of a different color is then applied, which enhances the color of the metal oxides. The final color and texture of the effect glaze depend on the firing temperature and duration, as well as the thickness of the individual glazes and their application method.
