The Gogain series is made of stoneware with craquelé glaze. This glazing technique, developed in Asia in the 16th century, is entirely handcrafted in China. To achieve the craquelé effect, the ceramic is immersed in water immediately after firing. The significant temperature shock causes cracks and a kind of metallic appearance in the colors. The color, crack pattern, and final shape of a piece of tableware depend on the temperature, firing duration, glaze thickness, and application method.

The completely hand-applied glaze makes each piece unique, enhancing every table.
