The Gogain series consists of stoneware with crackle glaze. This glazing technique, developed in Asia in the 16th century, is entirely done by hand in China. To achieve the crackle effect, the ceramic is immersed in water immediately after firing. The significant temperature shock causes cracks and a kind of metallic appearance in the colors. The color, crack pattern, and final shape of a piece of tableware depend on the temperature, firing duration, glaze thickness, and application method.

The fully hand-applied glaze makes each piece a unique item that adorns any table.
