The pieces in the GOGAIN series are made from stoneware with crackle glaze. This glazing technique, developed in Asia in the 16th century, is entirely done by hand in China. To achieve the crackle effect, the ceramics are immersed in water immediately after firing. The significant temperature shock causes cracks and a metallic appearance in the colors. The color, crack pattern, and final shape of a piece depend on the temperature, firing duration, glaze thickness, and application method. The completely handcrafted glaze makes each piece unique, adorning every table.
