The honeycomb ridges on the inside base of the pan ensure that frying fats or oils are distributed evenly, allowing you to sear foods in minimum fat. This conforms with the modern, healthy style of cooking. Silver Star pans can be used on all types of cooker (induction/gas/ceramic/cast iron/electric/halogen), and can withstand oven temperatures of up to 180°C. This allows you to sear meat at a high heat on the hob and then transfer to the oven to finish cooking at a lower temperature. Hence this frying pan comes into its own in any and every kitchen.
