Hot on the inside and crispy on the outside, that's how it should be! Since the toast pans of the Krups FDK 451 with non-stick coating are kept very simple and have no indentations, they brown the sandwiches evenly. Leaking liquids or melted cheese remain inside the housing thanks to the well-designed shape. The plastic lid could prove to be a weak point of the appliance in the long run.
