The Petty knife is the Japanese equivalent of a small utility knife. The petty knife is ideally suited for smaller and delicate cutting tasks for which a large chef's knife would be too unwieldy. Like the regular Petty knife, the Bunka Petty knife has a small blade with a flat profile, but the blade tips are shaped quite differently.With a blade long enough to do some serious cooking, but more maneuverable than a full-size Kiritsuke, the Bunka Petty is ideal for quick and precise cuts.KOTAI's Bunka Petty is made of Japanese 440C, a premium steel that combines high carbon content for hardness, sharpness and edge retention with the perfect amount of chrome to prevent corrosion.
