The production of these items required inherited knowledge and skills, from the proportions of clay and glaze to the subtle changes during firing, which depend on temperature and humidity. A simple design with warm clay textures offers comfort to the user. CLK-151 products have a modest yet dignified presence. Beneath the calm color glaze, the rough texture of the clay emerges, while the lower edges convey a sharp impression reminiscent of broken stone. The products are made from the sandstone typical of the Hasami region, where sand and rock are mixed with Amakusa porcelain stone, sourced from the Amakusa Islands. This porcelain clay ensures durability, and deep, nuanced expressions arise from the reaction of sandstone iron with the glaze. Kinto CLK-151 is microwave and dishwasher safe.
