Kahla O - The better place

Form & Fold: O stands for the shape of the circle and is also the abbreviation for the Japanese paper folding art of Origami, which inspired the design of the Kahla porcelain series O – The Better Place. All plates and dishes feature a fold: a piece bent upwards, opening up countless possibilities for users to creatively arrange delicious dishes. Fascinating patterns of light and shadow unfold through the fold, allowing for many original table arrangements depending on the placement of the porcelain relative to the light source.

Textured Relief Lines: The fold areas of O intuitively highlight where the porcelain can be held, and in doing so, reveal a pleasant surprise: fine relief lines cover the undersides of the plates and dishes as well as the inner areas of the cup handles, providing a tactile experience that also enhances the grip of the pieces when serving.

Minimalist, Maritime, or Earthy: The plates and dishes of O are available not only in minimalist white but also in the softly blue, maritime color variant "Aqua Dive" and in the earthy beige tone "Aqua Dive." Both decors are created by dipping the raw bisque into a pigmented porcelain mass. This results in natural color gradients with a handcrafted feel, making each Kahla item unique.
