Kahla O - The better place

Form & Fold: O stands for the shape of the circle and is also the abbreviation for the Japanese paper folding art Origami, which inspired the design of the Kahla porcelain series O – The Better Place. All plates and dishes feature a fold: a piece that is bent upwards, opening up countless possibilities for users to creatively present delicious dishes. Fascinating patterns of light and shadow unfold through the crease, allowing for many original table arrangements depending on the placement of the porcelain relative to the light source.

Tactile Relief Lines: The creased areas of O intuitively highlight where the porcelain can be held, and in doing so, reveal a pleasant surprise: fine relief lines cover the undersides of the plates and dishes as well as the inner areas of the cup handles, providing a tactile experience that simultaneously enhances the grip of the tableware when serving.

Minimalistic, Maritime, or Earthy: The plates and dishes of O are available not only in minimalist white but also in the softly blue maritime color variant "Aqua Dive" and in the earthy beige tone "Aqua Dive." Both decors are created by immersing the raw pieces in a pigmented porcelain mass, resulting in natural color gradients with a handcrafted appearance that varies with each Kahla item, making each one unique.
