Product details

These tea filters based on natural plant fibres (wood cellulose and Manila hemp) are manufactured in Hamburg, Germany. They are compostable.

Manila hemp is a natural fibre obtained from abaca leaves (Musa textilis), a type of banana tree from East Asia that renews itself quickly and easily. This fibre is very tear-resistant and was once used to make ropes for ships. It is mainly produced in the Philippines and Ecuador.

The fine filters meet the strict quality guidelines of the registered brand aromatreu, they have been developed to preserve the "whole flavour" of the great teas. They have not been bleached and are assembled without glue, using pressed fibres. The inner fold leaves enough space for the tea leaves to develop their full flavour.

These filters can be closed with filter tongs to allow the tea to steep easily (the filter tongs are sold separately).

Dimensions 130 x 85 x 45 mm (height/width/length). 100 filters per pack.
