The Gütermann Maraflex sewing thread is an elastic sewing thread specifically designed for home sewing machines. With a length of 150 m, it allows for the creation of stretchy seams in a straight stitch appearance without the need for an overlock or coverlock sewing machine. This sewing thread is ideal for sewing elastic fabrics such as jersey or fabrics with elastane, as it enables seam stretch of up to 80%. Using Maraflex ensures that the seams move with every motion, making the clothing comfortable to wear. The combination of needle and bobbin thread, along with low thread tension, achieves optimal seam elasticity, making it an excellent choice for round necklines, hem seams, and cuffs. Additionally, the sewing thread is manufactured using innovative Micro Core Technology® for added flexibility and durability.
