Global combines good design with the expertise of Japanese knife craftsmanship. Global knives are extremely sharp, lightweight, and perfectly balanced. Material: The blade is made from molybdenum-vanadium steel, which is hardened to 56 - 58° Rockwell C. The blades are very sharp. For perfect balance, they are filled with sand. This balanced design ensures safe handling and use. The knife is neither blade-heavy nor handle-heavy. Design: Created in 1985 by Professor Komin Yamada. Global is featured in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, MOMA.
