The situation is much the same with the ETA model. When grinding or crushing ice cubes, the results are sometimes rather poor. However, the fact that it has no special functions and only a few settings does at least make it easy to use. Cleaning can, however, sometimes be quite a faff, partly because the mixing jug is not dishwasher-safe.

The Eta stand mixer is not only affordable to buy, but also economical to run. It’s also easy to use, and the blending results are ultimately good – though you do need to give it a bit of a nudge now and then.
