Both the fine and extra-fine Diamond Whetstone surfaces feature a continuous surface zone for pointed tools. This compact sharpening stone enables comfortable two-stage sharpening and is one of the flagship products in DMT's portfolio. For even greater durability when sharpening ceramic blades, it now comes with the proprietary HardCoat surface. While all DMT diamond sharpening stones can sharpen hard steels and ceramics, the HC surface ensures particularly long-lasting performance when sharpening ceramic blades. The lightweight sharpening stone combines two different grits and is an ideal helper, whether at home, camping, maintaining tools, or gardening. It also features a continuous surface zone for sharpening small or pointed edges. The extra-fine HC diamond surface (9 microns/1200 mesh) is for polishing and smoothing sharp edges after sharpening with a coarser diamond surface. The fine HC diamond surface (25 microns/600 mesh) is for edge sharpening. Convenient size: 9.5" (24.13 cm) when open, 5" (12.7 cm) when closed.
