The bamboo whisk, also known as a chasen, is an essential accessory for preparing matcha tea. Before whisking the matcha, the bristles of the whisk should be briefly soaked in warm water to extend their lifespan. When whisking, avoid dragging the whisk across the bottom of the bowl, as parts of the delicate bristles may break off. It features 80 bristles and allows you to whisk the matcha tea into a firm and visually appealing foam. After use, simply rinse the bamboo whisk with lukewarm water and place it with the bristles facing down on the included whisk holder. The special shape of the holder ensures that the bristles are protected and maintain their shape longer.
