Calimatcha Matcha Green Tea Set Kori incl. Matcha Broom

The focal point of our "Kori" (Japanese for "ice") tea ceremony set is the midnight blue matcha bowl with its deliberately irregular shape and wavy rim, representing the hilly landscape of Japan. The glaze is a very dark, almost black "midnight blue" with an ice-encrusted rim. This dark, cool coloring creates an interesting contrast to the light green, hot matcha. The relatively large bowl has a diameter of 12 cm and a height of 8 cm. With a volume of approximately 435 ml, the bowl offers enough space to whip the matcha tea to a nice froth. Each matcha bowl is unique in color and shape. The handmade individual pieces may vary slightly in coloring and structure from the photos. This traditional, beautifully shaped "Kori" matcha bowl has been elaborately handcrafted in a classic design and attracts all eyes with its deliberately irregular shape and undulating rim, which represents the hilly landscape of Japan. The thickly applied, glossy glaze in dark blue underlines and contrasts the intense green of the matcha tea. The bowl tapers slightly at the top so that the matcha does not splash when whipped.

The set includes a matcha whisk made of white bamboo, also called a chasen, an indispensable accessory for preparing matcha tea. It has 80 bristles and makes it possible to whip the matcha tea with a firm and handsome foam. The broom holder made of porcelain ensures that the bristles are protected and retain their shape for longer. The set is rounded off by the enclosed "Chashaku" matcha spoon, which is the traditional tool for removing the correct dosage of matcha powder from the container.
