Not suitable for microwave or dishwasher. The bamboo whisk, also known as a chasen, is an essential accessory for preparing matcha tea. Before whisking the matcha, the bristles of the whisk should be briefly soaked in warm water to extend their lifespan. When whisking, avoid dragging the whisk across the bottom of the bowl, as parts of the delicate bristles may break off. It features 80 bristles and allows you to whisk matcha tea (green tea) into a firm and appealing foam. After use, simply rinse the bamboo whisk with lukewarm water and place it bristle-side down on the included whisk holder. The special shape of the holder ensures that the bristles are protected and maintain their shape longer. The traditional bamboo scoop (chashaku) is used to optimally measure the matcha powder into the bowl (1 heaping scoop equals 1 g). All parts are made of high-quality ceramic.
