At the center of our tea ceremony set "Daigi" is the snow-white matcha bowl, featuring a deliberately irregular shape and wavy rim that represents the hilly landscape of Japan. The pure white of the bowl allows the intense green of the matcha to shine beautifully, making the matcha visually enjoyable as well. The bowl has a diameter of 12 cm and a height of 8 cm. With a volume of approximately 430 ml, it provides ample space to whisk the matcha tea into a nice frothy consistency. Each matcha bowl is unique in color and shape. The handcrafted pieces may vary slightly in color and texture from the photos.

The bamboo whisk, also known as a chasen, is an essential accessory for preparing matcha tea. Before whisking the matcha, the bristles of the whisk should be briefly soaked in warm water to extend their lifespan. When whisking, avoid dragging the whisk across the bottom of the bowl, as parts of the delicate bristles may break off. It features 80 bristles, allowing you to whisk the matcha tea into a firm and appealing foam. After use, simply rinse the bamboo whisk with lukewarm water and place it with the bristles facing down on the included whisk holder. The special shape of the holder ensures that the bristles are protected and maintain their shape for longer.

With the traditional bamboo scoop (chashaku), the matcha powder is optimally dosed into the bowl (1 heaping scoop equals 1 g). All parts are made from high-quality ceramics.
