Broste Copenhagen Limfjord Tableware Series

Limfjord dinnerware series. Inspired by the coastal landscape and the secrets of the seabed in the long stretch of the strait between the Jutland Peninsula and the northern Danish island of Vendsyssel-Thy: Broste Copenhagen captures the organic shapes and soft color tones of the exposed limestone (Danish "limsten") as well as the naturally occurring beds of shells and oysters. The dinnerware series is handcrafted, which means that the pieces made from matte stoneware and transparent glass exhibit slight irregularities in shape and color. Nevertheless, the dinnerware is microwave and dishwasher safe.

Limfjord L serving platter. Shaped like a mussel, this large serving platter can be used as a large plate or dinner plate despite its unusual form. The stoneware is finished with a reactive glaze that creates a matte, naturally flowing patina on the surface of the shallow dish during firing.
