Heat pump technology has proven itself in the field of climate control for many years through energy transfer via heat exchangers. When the moist, warm air condenses at the heat exchanger, the condensation energy is absorbed by the refrigerant, causing it to evaporate. The refrigerant is then drawn in and compressed by a compressor. By releasing heat through the heating function, the refrigerant vapor condenses again, warming the passing air. The cycle begins anew. An additional heating element is not required.
