Base made of cherry wood
For the pincushion base, we have chosen gently looking cherry wood. We prioritize preserving the texture and appearance of the natural material, so we designed the base to feel pleasant and provide stability for your handwork.
Fabric and padding
It is of utmost importance to us that the needles penetrate smoothly into the pincushion, which is why we selected thick, high-quality cotton fabrics as the material for the pincushion. The fabric has a very smooth and soft texture, helping you to insert the needles easily into the pincushion. We have also carefully chosen the padding material to ensure that your needles do not rust even with prolonged use. All materials are made in Japan.
Cellulose head needles
The cellulose head needles included in this package are TULIP needles. The founder of Tulip, Atushi Harada, used cellulose to create the heads of the needles so that each child's name could be written on them. In this sense, each pin in home economics classes in elementary schools is unique and treated as a treasure. Even today, Tulip needles are used in sewing classes in Japanese elementary schools.
