Using a high-quality knife is best paired with a proper knife-friendly cutting board. The advantages of a wood fiber board include not only the longevity of the knife blade but also low maintenance and resistance to moisture. A cutting board made from bio-based wood fibers can be safely washed in the dishwasher, and it does not require sanding or oiling like traditional solid wood boards.

The board is significantly thinner than traditional wood boards and may initially feel hard under the knife, but it quickly softens with use, making it friendlier to the knife's edge than plastic cutting boards. The heat resistance of compressed wood fiber is also significantly higher than that of a traditional wood board, so it can safely be used as trivets as well. Bio-based wood fiber boards have received NSF certification, thus meeting strict hygiene standards. The dimensions of the board are 33 x 23 cm with a thickness of 6.5 mm.

Scratches that occur on the surface of the board can be removed with fine sandpaper, but this is often unnecessary as the scratches are merely a cosmetic issue.
