Filtronix activated carbon filter, an alternative to Miele DKF 12-1, 06228731, is an odor filter designed for use in Miele recirculating range hoods. It replaces the filter DKF 12-1, 0622873. In addition to the stainless steel metal filter that captures grease particles, activated carbon filters are used in recirculating range hoods. Unpleasant kitchen odors are absorbed and neutralized in the micropores of the activated carbon. If you use your Miele range hood in recirculating mode, make sure to change the filter regularly.
