The kitchen roll holder by Michel Boucquillon and Donia Maaoui began life in 2015 with the centrepiece of the same name. The designers were inspired by their home, Casa Boucquillon. The "Barkroll" paper roll holder, manufactured at the company's factory in Crusinallo di Omegna, is created in a production process in which the metal plate is first cut and then perforated by laser. The perforation reproduces knots in the wood, while the cylindrical shape reflects the structure of the trunk. This object, as poetic as it is functional, reminds us every time we take it out that paper is made from trees d.
