Alessi Juicy Salif

The design was created in the late 1980s during a family vacation in Capri. The occasion was a plate of calamari, over which Philippe Starck wanted to squeeze a lemon. Clearly inspired by the sight of the octopus, Starck quickly sketched his ideas on the paper tablecloth of the pizzeria. He sent the tablecloth with his designs, surrounded by food scraps and stains, to Alberto Alessi, who brought the lemon squeezer to life in 1990.

Position the lemon squeezer over the object you want to drizzle with lemon juice or over an empty glass. Now hold one of the three legs firmly, and you can easily squeeze the halved lemons by pressing and twisting - done. To clean, simply rinse under running water. The three-legged, silver-colored design object is made of shiny polished material and stands 29.0 cm tall.
