The placemat Dressed was designed by Marcel Wanders. Traditionally, embellishments are placed in important and visible areas of an object. However, Wanders places them in subtle, slightly hidden spots, sometimes even in places that are not usually seen. One could therefore speak of an introverted decoration in Wanders' work. The very name of the collection, Dressed, suggests a decoration designed like a beautiful dress: it is meant to emphasize the content without overshadowing it.
