Antechinus cheese knife from Alessi & Anita Dineen

The Antechinus cheese knife designed by Anita Dineen for the manufacturer Alessi. This designer piece combines functionality with exceptional design. Antechinus alludes to a small Australian mouse with the same name as the cheese knife. Last but not least, the simplified shape of the kitchen utensil is vaguely reminiscent of a cheese-hungry mouse. Antechinus cheese knives are made of sturdy stainless steel. The triangular shape of the cheese knife is meant to connect to the stylized slices of cheese. The blade itself has two sharp edges, so it can also be used as a cleaver for aged cheese. The handle fits comfortably in the hand and guides the knife securely. This material has proven to be particularly durable and is also easy to clean without leaving stains or scratches.
