Robot vacuum cleaners

Hello everyone I’m looking for a robot vacuum that can reliably negotiate door thresholds of **at least 40 mm (4 cm)**. Unfortunately, some of the specifications on Galaxus seem rather implausible. For example, some models specify a maximum door threshold height that is exactly the same as the robot’s own height. That doesn’t seem very plausible to me in practice. That’s why I thought I’d ask for real-world experiences instead. Does anyone have a robot that can actually handle 4 cm high door thresholds? If so: * Which model do you use? * Does it work reliably, or only under certain conditions (e.g. bevelled rather than sharp-edged thresholds)? * Would you recommend the model? Currently looking for a vacuum/mopping robot for a 100 m² flat (May 2026). General conditions: - Mainly parquet flooring - 2 bathrooms + kitchen with black tiles - Long hair in the household - 3 rather flat carpets - Something lying around from time to time → good obstacle detection important - As little maintenance/stress as possible in everyday life - Budget max 800 CHF. Better less if it makes sense! Hello together I've moved into a new flat and would now like to buy a robot hoover/mop. However, I am overwhelmed by the almost endless choice. Can anyone recommend something that is easy to use and works? The price shouldn't be astronomically high, about 800 FR max. About the flat: * Tiled floor and little laminate * 130 m² * People with long hair * Currently no permanent WLAN, only hotspot via mobile * No door thresholds or steps * No carpeting Many thanks

Hello We currently have an S8Ultra something which cleans our bike workshop every night. Unfortunately, valve covers, small nuts, etc. regularly clog up the automatic suction system. Does anyone have any experience of which robot vacuum cleaner is best at dealing with (too) large items that are sucked up? It must be able to vacuum (mainly workshop carpet) and empty itself. I have oiled parquet flooring in my home, which should not be cleaned with microfibre. Is there a robot with a mopping function that uses a cotton mop instead of a microfibre one?

More and more new robot hoovers are coming with small dust bags instead of a simple container, as is the case with Dyson, for example. But why? A container can be emptied and cleaned easily, whereas with the bags you have to keep buying more. Is this really more practical, more hygienic or just a means of generating additional sales?

There is a lot of information on the internet, but all the descriptions are positive, which I can't imagine. -It should be able to vacuum and mop (flat approx. 100 square metres) -Clean corners (of course it's not perfect) -have an app that is also good for something -be fairly priced and not overpriced (700-800 is already too much according to my research) Thanks in advance for your help

Good evening everyone We are looking for a new robot hoover. Absolutely with suction station, mopping function not desired. Mostly stone floor. Up to now we have had iRobot (S9+). In the meantime, we are no longer satisfied with the battery performance and it is also really loud. Well, technology will continue to develop in 5 years. Hello together I'm looking for a robot hoover that can vacuum on a schedule even without a Wi-Fi connection. At the same time, the navigation should be good as I want to use it in a small flat with lots of furniture - LIDAR would be ideal. For most robots, schedules only seem to work with Wi-Fi, are there any exceptions?

Hello, We are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner for our 5-room flat. It just needs to be able to vacuum well. We already had an irobot about 5 years ago and it always got lost in our flat and only found the station when it was in the middle of the flat. So the new one should above all navigate better. We don't have any thresholds or stairs. Mostly parquet flooring with a Persian carpet in the living room. Asking price under 700. What would you recommend? Merci
