AeroPress Go vs Standard AeroPress => The coffee is much better for me with the Go version! With you too?
All variables being equal, I get the better coffee out of the Go. It has a smaller capacity, but is otherwise absolutely identical (except for the filter sieve, which has circular holes instead of a grid). Can anyone confirm this? Surely this can't just be caused by the newer filter? I'm not really that picky and in such discussions it usually gets too esoteric for me relatively quickly (and yes, it can't get any more esoteric than this discussion :D). But the difference is really like night and day for me. I clean both Aeropresses in the same way and use the same coffee. You can taste all the variations and aromas from the Go. The coffee has a nice fruity taste. From the normal Aeropress, the coffee basically tastes like standard fully automatic coffee. I had the Go first and was surprised how good the coffee was. Then I took it with me at some point, forgot about it and got the standard version, and from then on there was nothing clever about it. Now, in a direct comparison, I notice that it may have been due to the original.
