Viele Grüsse, Deine Giraffe!

Giraffe lives in the African savanna. Her days are monotonous, and she longs for a friend. So she decides to write a letter: "You should deliver it to the first animal you meet beyond the horizon," she tells Pelican, who has just started a postal service out of boredom. And so the letter finds its way to Penguin, who lives far away in the Walsee. A true pen friendship develops. One day, Giraffe decides to visit her pen friend - disguised as a Penguin. Not so easy when you are a Giraffe. Megumi Iwasa has created a wonderful little epistolary novel that is perfect for first-time readers and has been a staple in Japanese schools for years. Jörg Mühle has illustrated it just as Giraffe and Penguin would have wished.
