When Florentine Joop asks Holger Much to write a fairy tale together, a literary journey begins in epistolary form, into the forests of fairy tales and the daily occurrences of the two authors, whereby it is not always clear where the common fairy tale called 'Bruderherz' begins with them and where the experienced worlds of Holger Much and Florentine Joop end. Young Ireene wishes for a brother while looking at the picture of a boy on the wall. Spilled blood and a goblin bring her the missing brother Michal. The bloody path of the fairy tale begins. As a reader, one wanders breathlessly through the forest with Ireene and Michal, hurried and hungry, anxious to see if there will be a good ending, but also Mrs Tired, the Silent Wanderer and an Irish landlady cross his path.
