Vocabulary work is often neglected in German as a foreign language classes. However, systematically expanding vocabulary is an important task in preparing for studies and life in Germany. In exams where no aids, including monolingual dictionaries, are allowed, having an adequate vocabulary is a prerequisite for successful completion.
