Sleeping Beauties

The world is facing a fascinating phenomenon. As soon as women fall asleep, they are enveloped in a spiderweb-like cocoon all over their bodies. If someone tries to wake them or remove the eerie fabric, they turn into barbaric beasts. Are they in a more beautiful place while they sleep? The remaining men increasingly succumb to their primitive instincts. However, one woman, the mysterious Evie, seems to be immune to the pandemic. Is she a genetic anomaly suitable for experimentation? Or is she a demon that must be destroyed? The setting and focal point is a small town in the Appalachians, where a women's prison is the largest employer.
