Product details

Watchmen by cult author Alan Moore is considered one of the most significant and best comics of all time, having won multiple Eisner Awards thanks to its uniqueness. Watchmen paved the way for comics as we know them today and gave the superhero genre an unprecedented depth. The dark story is always fittingly illustrated by the detail-oriented drawings of Dave Gibbons. The work also received a Hugo Award and was included in Time Magazine's list of the hundred best English-language novels since 1923. The music magazine Rolling Stone called Watchmen incomparable, the New York Times Book Review described it as breathtakingly complex, and Entertainment Weekly simply labeled it a masterpiece.

Author's Note
In addition to Watchmen, Alan Moore also created V for Vendetta, Batman: The Killing Joke, From Hell, Miracleman, and Swamp Thing. Since the 1980s, he has been regarded as one of the greatest innovators in the comic genre and has influenced an entire generation of comic creators. Dave Gibbons began working as a comic artist in 1973. Many of his contributions appeared in the British magazine 2000 AD, where he created well-known strips such as Harlem Heroes, Dan Dare, and Rogue Trooper. His works also include Dr. Who; in 1982, he began his collaboration with DC Comics. Since then, he has drawn and written for DC's most important characters, including Superman and Batman.
