THE IRON GRIP OF EMPIRE ...
... has now also firmly enclosed the worlds of the Outer Rim. But not everyone sees this as a disadvantage. The young aristocrat Thane Kyrell and the commoner Ciena Ree have shared a passion for flying since childhood. To be trained as pilots at the Imperial Academy is the fulfilment of a long-cherished dream for both of them. But soon Thane has to realise that the brutal actions of the Imperial occupiers are not compatible with his principles. Embittered and disillusioned, he therefore joins the rebels. In doing so, he puts Ciena in an extremely tricky position, as she now has to choose between the Empire and loyalty to the man she has known all her life.
