From Park Avenue to Broadway and Lexington down to Downtown, NYC Storefronts invites you to take a stroll through New York City. In over 200 illustrations, New Yorker Joel Holland immortalizes the favorite shopfronts of locals right outside their doors. With the onset of the COVID-19 crisis in the city, Joel Holland began sketching the windows of his favorite stores near his apartment and posting them on Instagram. Over time, he also incorporated recommendations from family members, friends, and strangers into his collection. This resulted in a vibrant shopping street featuring bookstores, diners, gourmet shops, shoe repair shops, bars, stationery stores, and florists. Holland's drawings are devoid of people, giving them a timeless, almost magical charm. At the same time, each illustration is accompanied by text containing fascinating information and anecdotes about the stores.
