With the independent "Lies mal" booklets, children acquire reading skills on their own. The demands increase with the skills they develop. Initially, children read individual words, then short sentences, and finally increasingly complex texts. Along the way, they gain reading experience with various text types such as short stories, non-fiction, rhymes, fairy tales, mysteries, newspapers, letters, and puzzles. Supplementary reading exercises with clear tasks, such as drawing, checking off, or connecting, challenge and enhance reading accuracy and text comprehension.
