Lernfeld Bautechnik Grundstufe

The foundational work for all trades follows the current federal framework curriculum and covers learning fields 1 to 6. The central goal is to support trainees in developing their practical skills. This is particularly facilitated by the project (row house) that precedes the learning fields, which is consistently referenced throughout. Students gain an overview of the individual trades and activities and can establish connections. Furthermore, the book is designed to be particularly student-friendly with its simple language, engaging explanations, and informative illustrations. Supplementary information at the end of the book allows trainees to deepen and expand their knowledge.

The new edition has been updated to reflect the developments in technology and standardization in both text and images. New in the 16th edition:

As more and more technical regulations and standards have transitioned to the new unit Pascal for mechanical stress and pressure, this unit has now been consistently applied, while the previous unit is generally still indicated. Environmental protection concerns have been further emphasized throughout the book.

As part of the update, numerous illustrations have been replaced or modified throughout the work. Learning fields 1, 4, and 6 have been extensively revised. Learning field 2 has been editorially revised and received a partially new layout. Notably, the topic "Soil Types" has been updated (new DIN EN ISO 14688 from November 2020). In learning field 3, a fundamental revision of the section "Concrete Masonry Units" has taken place (new DIN 20000-412 / DIN EN 771-3). In learning field 5, the section "Wood Protection" has been revised according to the new DIN 68800. In the supplementary information, the section "Where Physics Can Contribute to Understanding" has been updated regarding "Forces and Loads.".
