An unatoned crime and a perpetrator without remorse

Sweden in the 1960s. A small summer house by one of the countless lakes. Here, 14-year-old Erik and his friend Edmund spend their vacation. They are infatuated with the young substitute teacher Ewa, who looks like Kim Novak and soon appears in full bloom at the village festival. Two days later, the body of Ewa's fiancé is found, and Erik's older brother, who had an affair with Ewa, is suspected of murder. However, the perpetrator is never found. 25 years later, the adult Erik stumbles upon a report about unsolved crimes, and the summer of that time crashes down on him with full force.
