After his formative years in Leipzig, Galsan Tschinag returns anxiously yet joyfully to the nourishing soil of Mongolia. However, the years spent abroad have changed him. Within a body shaped by the cold, barren Altai mountain steppe lies a spirit awakened in unyielding Europe. His new life takes him through the educational institutions of his homeland, constrained by the strict order of party groups and committees, occasionally shaken by political earthquakes. He travels across the vast steppe, where the scorching peaks of sunlight pierce the air and the sky is teased by the wind. He is accompanied by an insatiable thirst for knowledge and his love for nomadism.
