Hiroshima mon amour

The film Hiroshima mon amour depicts the persistent yet repeatedly failing attempt of a Japanese man and a French woman to counter the catastrophe of Hiroshima with the love of two people who have escaped the hell of World War II, to forget the disaster, and to relinquish the constant memory of it.
