Szymborska is a phenomenon of uniqueness, whether we allow ourselves to be touched by the sorrow, depth, or wonderful humor of her poems, said Karl Dedecius, the friend and translator of the poetess. The astonished and incredulous gaze at life, that game with unlearned rules – she experimented with it anew in every poem until the very end. From the questions of children about the here and elsewhere, about what has been and what is possible, she shapes creations of touching sincerity. The collection of poems from the years 2005 to 2011 was planned together with Wisława Szymborska. Now it has become her legacy.
