Vocational learners are taught in general education across Switzerland according to the guidelines of a framework curriculum. This teaching material has been specifically developed for general education in vocational schools and covers all relevant topics in the learning area of "Society."

The new edition of the teaching material presents itself in a fresh design: the layout, fonts, and illustrations are more modern and accessible. However, the main change concerns the content. In close collaboration with the publisher, the author team has thoroughly revised the teaching material. In addition to a relevance check, the existing content has been updated. The clear concept remains:

• Each topic area is dedicated to a chapter. The individual chapters have a well "digestible" scope and follow a coherent thread.
• An introduction highlights the significance of each topic area and presents the learning objectives of the chapter, while the printed quotes allow for initial discussions.
• Comprehension questions, where the newly acquired knowledge must be applied, support the learning process. The workbook also includes new action-oriented learning tasks.
• The teacher's manual contains, on one hand, solution proposals for the "I know this now" questions and "Apply knowledge" tasks, and on the other hand, the solutions to the numerous and varied tasks in the workbook.
