There are times in life that one looks back on and realizes they changed everything – for Donnie Frey, that time is his 21st summer. A single fateful encounter is enough to throw Donnie completely off course. Suddenly, he finds himself confronted with questions he has successfully avoided until now. What does it mean to make one's own choices and live with the consequences? How far would he go to stand up for his beliefs? He finds answers to these questions in places he least expected: in room 311 of a nursing home, in the driver's seat of a Buchanka, and in a picturesque hotel in southern France.
