The workbooks Part 1 and 2 are used sequentially and systematically connect reading and writing tasks. Recurring task formats support independent work on the workbooks. The focus of the tasks includes exercises at the sound, syllable, and word level, and later also at the sentence and text level. Intensive work with the syllable for each letter is supported by numerous syllable exercises and the use of syllable arcs. A variety of free writing opportunities, along with the intensive use of initial sound images, accompany free writing from the very beginning. Additionally, there are letter guidelines for left- and right-handed individuals. The workbooks are also available in basic script.
