Product details

Although the name suggests otherwise, Wilfried Erdmann is a sailor, and as such, he is always drawn back to the water. Known for his previous voyage, this time he seeks the other extreme: it should be the counterpart to "Alone Against the Wind," a "cozy cruise" across the Baltic Sea to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Poland. However, anyone expecting tranquil sailing is mistaken. A 50-year-old Hansa dinghy, built by the famous shipyard Abeking & Rasmussen, is his KATHENA GUNILLA, and despite the "summer of the century," he has to endure more storms than he would like. Undeterred, he stays on course: sailing from Maasholm and Bagenkop to Warnemünde, he continues along the coast and through the Bodden waters eastward to the Polish town of Pomorski. From there, he navigates through rivers, canals, and the Mecklenburg Lake District.
