The first novel in a captivating series about the "Seven Sisters." Maia is the oldest of six sisters, all adopted by their father when they were very young. She is the only one still living at her father's grand estate by Lake Geneva, as unlike her sisters, who were eager to start a whole new life as adults out in the world, the rather shy Maia did not find the courage to leave her familiar surroundings. However, this changes when her father unexpectedly passes away and leaves her an envelope – suddenly, she holds the key to her previously unknown backstory: she was born in Rio de Janeiro in an old villa, the address of which still exists today. Maia decides to fly to Rio, and alongside Floriano Quintelas, a writer friend, she begins to unravel the mystery.
