Because every home needs a good soul. Jodi Bishop is a successful realtor living in Toronto with her husband and two children. Since her mother has been diagnosed with Parkinson's, she decides to hire a housekeeper for her aging parents. When she meets the experienced Elyse, she is impressed by her warm-hearted and proactive nature. Even Jodi's skeptical father seems to like her. However, after a short time, Jodi notices troubling changes. Her parents hardly leave the house anymore, and her mother seems to be genuinely afraid of Elyse. And when her mother unexpectedly passes away, Jodi must ask herself: Who has she let into her parents' lives?.
