Sometimes a single letter is enough to change your life. Margaret is 75 and content, finding joy in the small things in life. This is especially true since her routine, yet self-determined daily life represents great freedom for her, as she spent almost her entire life in a clinic for people with learning difficulties. When mysterious letters without a return address arrive one day, she is convinced they must be from her daughter. Many years ago, Margaret had to give Cilla up for adoption, and the letters seem to be the first sign of life from her. Margaret confides in Wayne, a younger man who cares for her and helps her in daily life.
